A 6 nm wide section of the Sun's spectrum, in the region of the magnesium triplet, captured with a homemade spectrograph with a resolution of 0.1 angstrom.
With numerous absorption lines corresponding to specific elements.
The upper and lower parts are the catalog, the middle is the inset of the spectrograph capture.
Besides the triplet itself, lines of many elements are visible, some of the most numerous and bright being iron.
There is also a lot of nickel, titanium, chromium, magnesium hydride (MGH).
Exotics such as ruthenium, neodymium, lanthanum are also encountered.
The homemade spectrograph is built on the basis of a 50x50mm diffraction grating with a line density of 2400 lines/mm and a lithographic slit 7 microns wide.
Two Askar FMA135 are used as the objective and collimator.
