Galaxy M81 "Bode" - a spiral island of dust and stars in the constellation Ursa Major. It spectacularly demonstrates its structure and active galactic nucleus to us. It is known to many as the neighbor of galaxy M82 "Cigar", located nearby but not fitting into my telescope's field of view.

The relatively high brightness of this galaxy allowed resolving some details in it even when imaging in not very favorable conditions. Light pollution from the Moon and short summer nights do their work.
