This small amount of integration is because there was only one clear night in the last two months, and the object is currently only accessible for about 2.5 hours at our latitude (from 50 to 29 degrees altitude). At low altitude, there's too much light pollution from the nearby city of a million people, making imaging impossible. According to the weather forecast, there were no clear nights before moonrise. From May to August, the nights are too bright, so the next chance to shoot this object will likely be in about six months.
The spring road to the dacha was destroyed by heavy trucks, so I had to leave the car and walk 1.5 km in -4°C to get this shot. I walked back to the car at 2 a.m. in complete darkness—with the new moon, I could barely see the ground under my feet. No one around, a bit eerie.
